Ian D. Clark is a professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Ottawa (Canada), who has been writing about geoscience and geochemistry since at least 1982.〔 "Professor Ian Clark: Papers in refereed journals" (list), University of Ottawa, Canada, January 2009, webpage: (uO-clark-p ). 〕 His graduate work in isotope hydrogeology was at the University of Waterloo and the University of Paris.
